When shopping in stores increasingly fruits and vegetables are being sold unwrapped. This is a fantastic step forward however it does mean you need to be prepared as some people may not want to put the 'naked' produce straight into their trolley or basket for hygiene reasons therefore some form of bag is needed. To avoid having to use the plastic bags in store you can carry your own reusable produce bags with your reusable shopping bags. Some stores are beginning to sell these or you can buy from other stores. If you are creative you could even try and making some of your own.
I got my current bags while in store at a supermarket as I was a bit unprepared one day. They are made from recycled plastic material. I do have some fabric scraps at home so I may get brave and try making some of my own over the summer holidays.
