Lip balms generally come in plastic packaging which can be difficult to dispose of and can contain ingredients that are not natural.

I am not a frequent user of lip balm but it can come in handy on occasion, especially on family days out. I discovered this plastic free swap when I won a competition on Instagram and received an alternative to normal lip balm as part of my prize.

My prize came from ‘Scence’ who offer natural skincare. Based in Cornwall, they use natural minerals and plant-based ingredients completely free of parabens. Their products are vegan, cruelty free and come in compostable and recyclable paper-based packaging therefore free of plastic. They make deodorants, moisturisers and balms.

I received a Natural Jojoba lip balm (6.5g). It goes on nicely and there is no clumping. My lips feel great with it on and it doesn't leave me feeling like I continually need to apply more. The fragrance is subtle and not overpowering.

You can find this Lip Balm at Parapura . Use the code 'Gemma10'* and recieve a 10% discount across the site.
